Bought a 25 buck voucher with some survey points I had the other week for the Sonic sale.
Found out the Microsoft money can only be used for Xbox One and Windows 10 stuff.
Used real money for Sonic and ended up with 25 bucks to spend on Xbox One stuff some time.

Glad that both I didn't waste the money, and that I've never got around to these games, because I'm gonna go buy them the second I stop playing GTA IV. I (profanity) love backwards compatibility.

    • Same. I only just -briefly- stopped playing GTA IV to trawl Ozbargain. Backwards compatibility has really made the Xbox One shine for me.

      Let's go bowling, cousin.

      • Literally pretty well the only reason I bought one. Rubbed me very much the wrong way with E3 '13 and didn't think they'd win me back, but by God did they ever. Rare Replay, cheap deals, and backwards compatibility were the things that pushed me over the edge.

I got lucky with GTA though, I had it in the day for 360 (still have on PS3 though) but that's long since been traded, I saw the completed edition in Cashies the other day for 6 bucks and thought I'd buy it on the chance it got put up soon before prices jack up like with RDR. I was at TAFE today and the second I heard the news I actually jumped with joy, like, 10 times at least, fists in the air and all. Friend may or may not have seen a bit too much of my buttcrack too. Oh well, who cares, Niko Bellic, my distant cousin!

Legit though, I haven't been that stoked on anything game related since the AT-AT foot stomp in the Battlefront trailer, before I remembered it was being handled by EA and doomed to be what it ended up being.

        • Absolutely, it's added so much value to the platform. It's great knowing that my physical library of X360 games are -for the most part- just going to carry forwards with me into the next gen Xbox as well.

How great is GTA IV. I intended to play it for five minutes to see how it ran and ended up playing it for five hours straight. What a game. The slight framerate boost is nice and if they sort out the frame-pacing issues (also present in the original) with later updates I'll be even happier.

Oh and Brucie is one of the greatest video game characters of all time.

          "Is that cellulite? I don't do 500 crunches a day to f-ck cellulite, I am a winner!"

          -Stay alpha, bro.

  • Also probs worth mentioning this is part of a publisher sale and some other games such as Saints Row and Mighty No. 9 are heavily discounted too atm

  • Ugh I paid $50 for this a while back and have still barely played out. Seemed decent though.

  • Generally positive? They're 2 of the best games ever made IMO!
