"Buy a beautiful NZ Sauvignon Blanc" in a can????? :P

Saw this on Catch Of The Day and … had to post it somewhere :P

http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/wine/windex.php

Curious idea. It's a 24 pack of wine cans??

$40 including shipping (I believe it's $9.95 shipping for most places) …

I … am tempted to buy it just 'cos of the novelty :P also, that sounds like a pretty good price … if it were bottles. Not sure if it were casks.

Curious idea :)

Are other wines shipping in cans?

Maybe I can find this at the bottle shop, with a smaller quantity … hmm

Also, still waiting on a Catch of the Day product so I'm tempted to hold off on this.

at least the wine wont oxidize in a can as fast as it does in a cask. (6months and its bung!)

Ive seen $5 bottles of Marlborough Sav Blanc cleanskin at both dan murphys (can vouch that its a good drop)
    and woolies (havent tried)

    24 cans = 8 bottles = $40 (at $5 a bottle)
so by volume, its the same deal.

and NZ does have crazy oversupply. so there is a good chance that youll be onto a winner.
Take it to some dinner parties :)

There is a bunch of NZ cleanskin wine actually being branded and sold in Aussie.. Smart Business. No overheads, no production, just clip the ticket.

Funny thing is that we get marlb sav cheaper over here than they can buy in NZ

Glad Im Beached as over here :)
