Footlong Breakfast Sub + Coffee $6.50 @ Subway [NSW]

90

Saw this in store the other day, not a bad deal. Normally footlong breakfast sub by itself would cost $7< already without the coffee.

Maybe it's just me, but I find the breakfast subs at subway to be terrible. Microwaving bacon and/or egg should be a crime…

No, it's not just you - I came in here only to say exactly the same thing.

Those Subway breakfast things are by far the worst takeaway food I think I have ever eaten. I chucked the first one away, then a few months later I tried again just in case the first was an isolated case.

The second attempt seemed equally as bad, however the taste and texture instantly reminded me of the utter disgustingness of the first one, and I literally dry wretched after the first bite.

Whoever is responsible for that abortion of a product should be tied down and force-fed some of the crap. It truly is absolutely foul.

I wonder why there isn't a "Subway Breakfast Challenge" on the internet, where people attempt to eat one without vomiting.

      • As did I, egg loaf is never good, it has a really awful slimy texture and is quite watery (resulting from the reheating process I imagine), and the addition of microwaved bacon did not improve it at all.

        Barf/10 was the verdict.

    • Try it toasted? May be a better experience

      • Tried it. Depends on where you go, but most places will just toast the bread and the cheese and then put microwaved bacon on top. Even if they toast it with the bacon, it still tastes bad.

      • Toasting one of those things to make it taste better is about as effective as using Maple Syrup to improve the flavour of a dog turd.

        • Could come down to the order they fill the sub / toasting which ingredients together and what to not process together
