The US networks operate on different frequency bands to ours in Australia.
Even though it's an S7, the hardware inside still comes in different versions based on the region.
Make sure you double-check that before you commit to purchasing.

No plans at this stage, was having a look for a family member.
I'm still very happy with the Redmi note 3. I've thought of upgrading this year some time but honestly not sure as it's a great phone.

Samsung Aus does not cover international units nor refurbished units
I would stay clear as an Aus buyer as they only offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and "No manufacturer's warranty should be expected, unless stated in description." It will work with Australian carriers, but it just may not be worth the hassle as if something goes wrong…
