Anyone had any experience with COTD and warranty returns?

Hi all,

Has anyone successfully returned a defective item to "catch of the day" for replacement or refund?

I filed a return request about a week ago for a faulty computer (out of the box) but have heard nothing in return.

  • Yep I sent back a faulty power board. Took a while for them to get back to me with details on how to return it, but once I sent it back they were relatively quick at sending me a new one.

  • I contacted them before for a faulty DVD player. They provided me the vendor details in about 24 hours (a day). Vendor was hard to deal with - so when i contacted COTD, they gave their address (PO Box) to ship the product and got replacement for me. The replacement also failed and COTD refunded me after i post the Player. It is time consuming but they kept their words.

  • I've returned a couple of defective items for replacement, and one item for a refund.

    Sometimes they take a while to get back to you, but all of the issues have been sorted out. If you find you are not getting any joy from support email [email protected]

  • OK …. Cheers for that confirmation guys, good to hear they do eventually followup on these things… I'll wait a few more days, and if I don't hear anything, I'll email QQQ him/herself!

    I'm having trouble contacting COTD in relation to a missing shipment. I'm starting to believe the bad press about COTD :(

    • I finally received my shipment today. I'm not sure where it was all that time, and according to COTD it still hasn't been dispatched. Anyway, I have my goods.

  • I had a PVR replaced, postage free of charge. It didn't happen very quickly but there was no problem in the process.

  • I have a faulty product right now, let them know on Friday, so we'll see how replacement goes.
