  • My brother had one of these. Really thunderous bass which is great for gaming, but the plastic hinges had cracked on both sides after a year of use, so not very robust build.

  • yeah i heard about that issue but it wasn't all units

  • +1

Says these are for ps3 will these connect to ps4 wirelessly and also do they connect to mobile phones wireless or just through the jack.

    Thanks !

  • they work on ps4 aswell that's what i brought mine for works flawlessly and wireless too comes with a usb dongle and can use it on your phone has 3.5 jack out

So it works on the ps4 wirelessly? without the usb dongle ? And only workes on your mobile phone with the 3.5 jack ? Thanks

Down votes means it does not work k thanks.

down vote means wtf are you talking about.

"So it works on the ps4 wirelessly? without the usb dongle ?"

of course you need the usb dongle thats what makes the damn wireless works. same as the newer version of these i have.

        • It does work

        • @Axelstrife: for someone that is new to PS4 I thought it would have an inbuilt wireless function IE bluetooth which it does.. but seems it does not support unbranded PS headphones.

        • @Stahh: That i agree with kinda stupid since the ps3 had bluetooth.

        • @Simondeals: thanks did some re search and you need a USB dongle to connect headphones to the ps4.

Although it may interfere with your wireless internet connection.

  • Whoa what a price! These are amazing on PS3 & PS4, theyre very comfortable, the mic is clear (enough) and the sound quality is better than any Logitech i've used under $200 (not as good as my Audio Technica's though, both sound & mic). The mexican voice over when changing audio profiles is funny as well ^_^

    • How do you get the Mexican voice back on it

  • I bought the black version back in 2013. They work great with Mac and PC, and you can use them wirelessly with any of your consoles by connecting the headphone out on your TV to the 3.5mm jack on the USB dongle. The vibration function negatively affects the sound quality, so I leave it turned off.

  • Thanks OP been waiting for wireless headphones bargain for awhile

  • I have these paid $100+ when they first came out.
    Still going and impressive
Will get hot though around ears
    Comfortable enough
    Using on PS3
Better than the newer versions from review!

  • Hi All,
I have PS4 Pro and would like some advice before i buy these.
    1. Will these work wireless with my console, do they come with dongle that goes in usb on ps4?
    2. Which company the maker of these headsets? are these made by Sony?
    3. Does it have wireless Chat?
    Thanks in advance

    Regards

    • +1
      1. They work wirelessly with my PS4 Pro using the provided USB dongle. A notification is displayed any time you turn them on/change volume/enable "BassImpact" vibration etc. A free app can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store to manage the BassImpact profiles stored in the headset.
      2. I'm not sure who makes them, but the front of the box has the "PlayStation Official Product" logo, as opposed to the "Official Licence Product" logo.
      3. A microphone is built into the left cup, with a mute button and a slider to control the mix of the in-game audio and chat audio.

As others have said, they're fragile and are prone to crack. Holding them by the round bits above the ear cups (the BassImpact actuators) when putting them on should prevent cracking—easy enough as long as you're the only one using them!

      • Thank you for the reply, I got all the information I needed.
        Much appreciated. Cheers

  • Am i able to connect the usb dongle to a tv and then plug the 3.5mm audio jack to the tv so i can get wireless audio?

    • Yes that will work mate

  • Glad I didn't buy the $200 pair of platinum ones.

Got these for $86 delivered, didn't want to risk trying to get to a store. Thanks OP.

  • Just got email saying they are out of stock and I got a refund ftl

    • They must of sold out sorry to hear but they do have alot of headphones on sale

    • It's still available in some stores. U will need to check store availablilty via EB games website.

      • Yeah, definitely available in certain stores.

I bought a pair from Hallet Cove in SA, but returned them half an hour later.

They sound amazing, but they kill my head after only 10 minutes of wearing them. So much tighter and heavier than the Golds (or 2.0's). The ear cups are smaller too, so they don't cover your ears they just crush them to keep the sound in.

And, I don't even have a big head. I'd hate to think what these feel like for others. You can move the band to make them looser, but then they fall off. Useless.

I bought a pair of Platinums from the Mighty Ape eBay sale for $198.40 and got them today. You really do get what you pay for. Well worth the extra cost.

Stick with the Golds or Platinums. Far more comfortable!
