I have a four hour layover in Perth and was thinking of purchasing a lounge pass using points - 10000.
Has anyone been to this lounge and can recommend this … or not? I'll be there in twlhe afternoon and was hoping that they will have some decent food and drink options.

The perth Virgin lounge is pretty poverty. I havent been in there for a couple years but I dont think it has changed much. Save the points for sydney or melb.
If you were flying qantas I would recommend the business lounge if you are flying business or platinum. Pancakes in the morning and freshly stone baked pizza for lunch and endless wine tasting.
The virgin terminal is now near the international terminal so is new just over a year old think it opened late 2015 , have not been in to the lounge
The new terminal is very nice plenty of places to hide out , qantas is still over the other side and yes not very good at all

Didn't want to create a new thread. Have a few lounge passes to use up - best to hold onto it for the future or splash out at Perth? Have never been/probably won't be back anytime soon and they're attached to my Velocity card so not transferable.
Melbourne lounge was disappointing when I visited on the way here, very limited options, so not sure if Perth would be the same?
Or just hold onto it until a future date when things hopefully improve…??
They are all running the limited menu now where you order from the website and they bring to your table… I wouldn't bet on it changing for the better (full range and self serve) anytime soons… If you have the passes I'd use them now whilst you have the chance unless you have firm dates travelling in the future and even then that is up in the air with snap border closures, loungue re-closure…
The Perth lounge is worse than the Melbourne lounge and much, much smaller.
Due to less Virgin demand…
Think I'm better off exploring Perth rather than visiting a disappointing lounge again…
I'm with this….Always found the Melbourne lounge to be good actually.
Not in for a good time if you go to the Perth one weekday mornings, always filled with FIFO's
If you get in for free, its ok to grab a snack and quick bevvie on the way thru and better than sitting in the terminal but I wouldn't pay to go in there that's for sure.
No I have never been to the lounge so can't comment.
