  • Is there any chance of getting southern mountain as the lucky dip? :)

    • Shouldn't be a problem, please shoot through an email to [email protected] so request can be matched to order and I'll try my best to accommodate :)

  • Looking to make some cold pressed coffee. First time doing it so have acquired the Bodum coffee press, (from OzBargain deal of course) now just trying to find a coffee to go with it. I gather it has to be a fairly coarse ground (Breadcrumb size I read somewhere) Your suggestion would be?

    Thanks

    • I make loads of cold-drip coffee through our Brewover (thanks again Manna!) all through summer and use heaps of these Manna roasted beans. Tastes great.

For grinding - you need it to be coarse enough to not come through the plunger's filter, but as fine as possible to get maximum extraction. This deal is for whole beans, so you'll need your own grinder.

      • Thanks Funkydan appreciate you sharing the info and feedback. Glad you are enjoying :) To add to that I find for cold brew/cold drip to be drunk as a black coffee then a light roast really showcases the coffee better as it preserves the flavour/sweetness and acidity which is needed to cut through due to it being diluted.

For cold brew where milk or milk and sugar is added then all roast types perform well :)

For something really special try a light roasted coffee like one of our Ethiopians(must be a light roast). Cold brew(not drip) and then mix 2:1 ratio with sparkling water!

I've been bottling these in beer bottles and drinking for a light refreshing fizzy coffee :)

        • thanks for the great advise, Simon. would you be able to do a 1kg deal on your Ethiopian beans please!

        • +1

@soulspawn: I believe shipping for 1kg is still around $11 Aus Post express and we ship all website orders over $50 for free.

Would love to help but unfortunately due to shipping; the Ethiopians being expensive 91 point specialty coffees and them requiring an individual small batch roast it would need to be at standard website pricing :)

        • @mannabeans: cool stuff. Thanks anyway!

  • Is there any decaf coffee availability?

    • Yes just received 3 new specialty decaf coffees. They are a bit more expensive and will require individually roasting so would need to charge an additional $5 if you want to replace the lucky dip with decaf.

You're welcome to send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes or send request by email :)

  • Could you do 1kg deal please? 2kg would take forever for me to consume :-)

    • +1

I know it's a big debate in the coffee world, but I reckon unground, sealed with one-way valve beans, have a pretty decent shelf life. I regularly get these manna bean deals, and the enjoy drinking the coffee for about a month, but I'm sure it would taste good for longer…

      • I'll have to disagree with that. I purchased a 4 x 500gm pack and currently using my last pack. I'm finding it's already stale compared to my first 3, and this is only week 3 since I've received them.

      • Yeah, it's not too bad. It seems to vary on the beans. But we do often end up ordering the next batch prematurely and chucking the last 1/4 - 1/3rd of the last bag. So I'd be keen on a 1kg order option as a regular thing too.

    • Happy to do 2 x 480g delivered for $35 if that helps. You can send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes :)

      • Thanks for that! Will order possibly early next week and let you know. Ran out of the coffee yesterday so had to buy some in haste.

        • No problem :)

      • We slow down on coffee over summer, so our normal 2kg is too much.
$35 sent through PayPal with a note.

        Chris

        • Thanks Chris :) Hoope you're well mate!

        • @mannabeans: Arrived today.
You guys are a class act, Simon.

        • @ChrisLevo: Thanks Chris, very kind :) hope things are well with you!

        • +1

@mannabeans: The Honduras is stunningly good.

Dense crema with the coffiest (best I could think of) explosion of flavour in the mouth.

          A new favourite….

  • PERFECT!

I've just ordered via the site, but no place to leave notes, if you can just make it double the 2 washed beans it would be great! =)

    • Thanks Andy, no problem mate hope you're well. I believe it's already been shipped. Should be washed high altitude as required :)

  • Before ordering….again….it's so good.

Any chance I can get a pack of Jamocha to try as the lucky dip? Been hanging out for it to be included (since reading heaps of recommendations..but never is).

    Thanks.

    • Please shoot through an email to [email protected] with your request so that I can match the email to your order and I'll try my best to accommodate :) Have a fantastic week and glad to hear that your enjoying the coffee experience!

Really loving Jamocha this week. After a few years of it being the same we made a slight modification to one of the beans in the blend due to a better crop availability and sustainability. I think that it is even better now and I am very happy with the improvements. Hope you enjoy ;)

      • Thanks Simon. Just ordered and sent through an email.
        Much appreciated.

Just as a note - wasn't a fan of the Colombia Inza in the new year lot. Maybe my taste buds….Surely do appreciate having a variety of coffee to try out though.

For others. In the 12 different coffee styles I've had so far, only 1 wasn't to 'my liking'. Definitely quality coffee that's extremely good value.

        • Thanks for feedback. Just packed your Jamocha. Let me know how you get on ;)

  • Hi Rep, are you still doing the 2 x 480 for $35 deal? Is it possible to order 2 x Southern Mountain?

    • Hi, sorry don't have Southern Mountains being roasted at the moment but happy to do 2 x 480g of current deal offerings for $35 delivered. If suitable then please send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes. Thanks :)

      • Hi Simon, any chance of getting one of the Ethiopian single origins and a pack of Jamocha for $35 or a bit extra? After something that drinks well black. Southern mountain would of been good :-(

        • The Ethiopians we have in are 91 point specialty coffees and more expensive. Also would require an individual small batch roast for you. Unfortunately this is not viable at the $35 price point. An email can be sent following a coffee order with a preference and although we try to help we can't guarantee changes with Ozbargain deals.

If you are after specific coffees or roast requirements then you are welcome to order from our standard website listings. These are small batch roasted just for you and are therefore priced accordingly :)
