Can I Add an SSD to Dell Inspiron 3000 Laptop?

Can I Add an SSD to Dell Inspiron 3000 Laptop? It is the 32gb EMCC version. I have an old 128gb SSD lying around at home and I wouldn't mind getting this laptop and pairing the two.

I did a google and couldn't find any definitive answers.

Please help.

You cannot swap the factory SSD to this laptop as the storage is soldiered to the mainboard.

You can consider getting an external drive enclosure for your 128gb SSD.

    • Thanks - in that case I won't buy it.

Appreciate the time you've taken to answer my question :)!

You would be better off buying Dell Inspiron 11 3000 with the 128gb for $319.20 when it's on special.

As you can see, the deal is very frequent on eBay, so wait for a month or two and I am sure it will be up for bargain again!

I can confirm this - it's on the MB. The slimline build of the laptop says to me there's no option to put anything else in there. Shame, 32gig is woefully small

      • does have a Micro SD Card so expanded storage there..
