I want to buy a watch like a Calvin Klein City Grey Chronograph

I walked into a watch shop and saw Calvin Klein City Grey Chronograph and fell in love with it but it was over $400, i was wondering if anyone knew watches that are cheaper that are similar or that watch but cheaper?

Calvin Klein are a fashion brand, I would consider this very expensive for what you are getting.
For around the $100 to $150 price mark you could buy a chronograph watch from a reputable watch making brand like Seiko, Citizen or Casio.

Here is some links to Watchuseek if you want to learn more about it -
Google Search on Calvin Klein @ Watchuseek

From what I have read they are fine Swiss watches, that one is only 38mm though.
You can get better value buying from Japanese watch making brands as listed above, although they aren't always made in Japan.

Personally I don't see much more value in the CK than buying the Megir M2011 for $16.66 shipped.
That may be a slight exaggeration, but at least you aren't getting ripped off.

        • Yes, financially OP dodged a bullet because although it looks desirable nobody should pay anywhere near $400. Better to buy that very similar Megir M2011 and add a fancier strap.

        • Honestly I really like that watch, i will buy it and change the strap, any recommendations?

        • @Rajivsingh: Do you mean the Megir M2011? I am biased towards stainless steel, perhaps a tasteful two-tone..

        • @PJC: haha im to opposite i dont really like metal straps

        • @Rajivsingh: Fair enough, there are many good ones. Let us know how you get on and post a photo here.

        • @PJC: I was looking through the website and found this http://www.gearbest.com/men-s-watches/pp_211256.html

its pretty much the same watch but it has a leather band and an extra $7
I just ordered it and ill keep you guys up to date, Thank you

        • @Rajivsingh: Fair value if you are satisfied with the quality of that leather and also the pin buckle. Or get the original silver gray for $16.66 and after a few days usage you will form a clearer idea of what you would like.

For example you may decide on a strap featuring what some manufacturers call a push-button dual deployant clasp …

… which are also available on some leather straps and rubber/silicone straps.

Here's one I bought on eBay last year for AUD$40 …

… I wasn't sure I would like such a strap, but I am pleased with it. Remember to tell us what you get and post a photo, which will probably be next month.

@Rajivsingh: nice looking watch. write a description when you've had a play with it.

        • @PJC: I didn't notice you had ordered it. Or perhaps you edited your comment while I typed. That is a good bargain and you still have options for changing the strap. Well done.

    @altomic: @PJC: @WatchNerd

I have worn 'MEGIR 2011 Water Resistance Male Japan Quartz Watch with Date Function Genuine Leather Band ' watch for about 24 hours now. It was honestly how I imagined it, it is comfortable and works great so far. the people who saw it thought it looked like a $200 watch so which sounds good for a $24 watch. I have only one issue at the moment and that is when the stopwatch function gets to a minute it malfunctions, but I don't really mind that, I doubt I would use it. But in conclusion, found a watch that I really like for an amazing price tag. if any issues will keep you guys updated, but genuine thank you!

Thanks for the update, glad you like it.
Sorry to hear about the stopwatch issue, what exactly happens?

Maybe send Sunny (Gearbest Rep) a PM & see what he says if there is a malfunction with the watch.
He has a link in this post for priority support to Ozbargain members.

what happens is that after it hits a minuted the 10 seconds dial stops working and so does the 1 minute one, and when i try to restart it, it just makes less that a half rotation and doesn't reset. I've got it to reset but with struggle, ive tested it twice so far

        Thanks for the contact
