Just received a letter from Amex saying from June 1 2017 the following changes will be made to the earn rate of the Qantas Premium Amex
- 1.25p per $1 on purchases (previously 1)
- 0.5p per $1 on government spending (still 0.5)
- 1.25p per $1 on utilities, telecomm, insurance (previously 0.5)
- 2.25p per $1 on Qantas products and services (previously 2)
What I'm seeing is that the card no longer earns 2 points per $1 at supermarkets.
Imagine this will be reflected fairly soon on their profile for this particular card.
I just got the letter too.
I think I may change to another credit card as the 2 points \ $1 spent at supermarkets worked quite well for me.
Anyone got suggestions of a similar card?
