Powertool Tracker Needed

Hi guys,

can anyone suggest me a device/method to track my powertools please?
Have just lost couple of Makita tools, would like to prevent this happening to the new ones am about to buy.

Would tile/nut3 type of thingies work in this situation? Have just found a Makita Timer app on play store, which is Antitheft solution for Makita batteries, but needs NFC, which my phone doesnt have. Has anyone tested this app, would that work? Maybe it is time to upgrade my phone.

      Should have said stolen on building site, not lost

    If we are talking stolen tools, engraving them is your best bet.

    Pawn shops won't accept tools that are engraved without a photo ID.

    If you're talking knicked on a construction site, you're out of luck. I only lend tools to trusted work colleagues and lock the rest up.

    I also have a one strike system. You lose a tool, you bring your own.

    Don't get the pebble bee, only good for making it beep if ur within bluetooth range. The map location is totally useless.
