How to Receive Paper Catalogue from The Supermarkets

Hi alls, I've just moved to a new place and realised that I don't receive the weekly paper catalogues from woolies/coles/aldi etc, pretty sure there are supermarkets within 10mins walking distance. Are there any ways to 'apply' for this services beside calling them one by one?

cheers

Step 1: Take the "No Junk Mail" sign off the Letterbox.
    Step 2: Wait.

Do you have a no junk mail letter on your letterbox? Is it easily accessible?

Have you noticed others getting it at all?

    • No I don't have that, might have to ring them up to find out

  • Was in the exact same position when I moved into my current house. I just used the online coles/woolies catalogue but then about 6 months ago we started to receive catalogues out of the blue lol

  • Google PMP and Salmat (they are the only 2 companies who print and distribute the catalogues.

    cheers

Why don't you to to the supermarket and pick one up?

If that doesn't work, print their online .PDF catalogues at your local officeworks.

Third, phone the local stores and ask them to send you one by mail every week or have a staff member drop one off personally to you.

  • I have had to call Salmat from time to time to get them to stop delivering to my "no Junk Mail" letterbox.

They pay peanuts, so you can guess what they get as delivery people - I do feel sorry for them.

    • Has it worked? I'm in an apartment building and I am in some sort of junk mail hotspot. My letter box is always stuffed with crap despite having a clear sticker.

      • Yes, it has.

I had to call them again a while back, as they had new people delivering, and it stopped straight away.

  • Several years ago it seemed I'd stopped receiving Bi-Lo's catalogues. Seeing as it was where I shopped and the store was at my nearby shopping centre, I rang them up and for a long time received their weekly specials in the post.

  • Does anyone in the neighbourhood get catalogues? It is fairly common for the delivery person to just throw them all in re-cycling and take the money. I've called about it a few times and got them fired.

  • I thought it depends on if they (the supermarkets or any retailer) pays people to deliver or not. I assume they do not deliver to save cost and people more willing to view catalogue online.

My place (inner west), my parents (north shore), my in-laws (south) and my aunty (inner west) do not receive supermarket catalogues nowadays, so I go to shopping mall near my workplace to get 4 copies and distribute instead.

Can get some exercises by getting out of the office as well :)
