Basic Office Use Monitor 24"+ - Budget $250

Can you please advise me on the best value monitor (under $250) for use in an office environment.

I am adding a monitor to my laptop, which has an HDMI output, which used in my home office as a general purpose machine, no games, mostly Office.

I am in Perth, so please consider postage in any recommendations.
It should be around 24", but bigger would be nice.
