    Not this cheap since September

Full of sugar! At half the price

    • Is it really???
I thought this was much better than other Cereals when it comes to sugar content.

      • About 24% sugar, the calcium one has the least at 15%.

Pretty much every boxed cereal except Vita brits will have at least 10% sugar (rice bubbles/corn flakes) up to fruit loops and coco pops @ 39%

Plus I usually add sugar on top of these cereals, so Nurti grain would probably be better for me in the end haha.

But at this price I'll be buying a few boxes for sure!

        • Weet Bix you mean

          Ooh don't add sugar

        • @davedrastic:

Nah weetbix have 9x the sugar of vita brits, but still almost nothing relative to every other cereal.

        • @Kegsta: 9x the sugar of vita brits, really? Might have to switch

        • @davedrastic:

Wheet bix is 3.3% sugar, Vita brits is 0.4%.

I would just eat whichever you like better though, I doubt it would make any difference, or in true ozbargain fashion, eat whatever is on sale!

  • Mhmmm sugar for breakfast

  • Hows it compare with just right?

  • +1 for + size +

  • So which cereal is best for breakfast? With less sugar and more Calcium, fibre, etc?

Almost all breakfast cereals are garbage. Just look at the nutritional information and pretty much all of them have at least 10% sugar. If you really want something similar that is healthy, then stick to something like oats or wheat biscuits and add nuts and seeds yourself. If you must add something sweet, then put in a little fruit like blueberries or banana.

      • Good advice! Thanks

I used to buy this, then realised 750G of homebrand museli (rolled oats n dried fruit) is $2.25, isn't coated in sugar (but still plenty from the fruit) and keeps you full for longer. Also, add honey if you are a sweet tooth. Has some antibiotic properties as well to avoid the office cold n flu.

        • except they have preservatives

  • If you want to gain weight then this is a great way to start the day. You'll feel like eating again by 10:30.

Eat bacon and eggs for breakfast, lose weight.

    • did you say bacon?? yum

      • Uncle Tobys should be working on that one. Not a bad idea for a packet breakfast Just have to worry about the salt content instead.

    • Bacon and eggs healthy? You're joking right?
Not that cereal is better though…

  • Thx will give this a try. I'm more of a coco pops/milo cereal kind of guy

  • +1

Will stock up. My favs are the cranberries + blueberries and muesli. They probably have the most sugar out of the lot as well :)
