Where Could I Buy Air Mattress for The Left Hand Side of SUV Please?

Hi,

I am travel a lot for work and study.

I want a air mattress to sleep in the car. like this one:

https://world.taobao.com/item/530599282876.htm?spm=a312a.770…

I need it on the side of my car, so that I can still keep the baby seat at rear right seat.

I was told by the Chinese seller on Taobao that I can not use this one if the driver side is on the right. Have any one seen any thing similar for Australian SUV please?

How is the left and right different?

It'd be because the shape is not completely rectangular and there's a bit that sticks out into the centre console area.

If the top and bottom had the same shape and surfacing, you could simply flip it over. But looking at the pictures, that doesn't seem to be the case - the bottom is shiny and the top is that felt material - there's also huge bump that fills in the gap where the seat folds.

      • I do not see a problem as they can put 2 mattress in the car.

It's not rectangular and it's not evenly shaped so it can only go one way.

If you try putting your thumb and index finger in the shape of an "L" on your forehead, you can only get an "L" with one hand. The other hand ends up being the mirror image of an L.

          @bobbified:
          Lol
Have a look at the link and the second pic, they seem to have the same mattress on both sides????

        • @djones145:

They do seem like they have it on both sides! hahaha! But if you look at the fourth picture, you can see the actual shape of the whole thing - that bit that sticks out on the side of the mattress is probably being squashed against the doors on the driver's side in the second picture.

Get a single air mattress from kmart

    • It will not be flat…

Buy the $10 air mattress from kmart and then a separate inflatable thing or pillow/sheets/etc to keep it flat

  • What sort of SUV?

Why not just put the back seats flat , get a mattress and put it in the back seat?

    • It is a Rav 4. Will not be able to straight my legs in it. Also I need to keep the baby seat in the back seat.

      • Can you not fold only one side flat?

This is the back of a rav 4…

Baby seat goes on the right and that seat stays up. Fold the middle 2 seats flat, push the front passenger seat forward and you may even be able to fold it a little forward.

I reckon you could get a mattress in there.

  • Not sure this is a good idea. This whole setup does not look very comfortable if you are taller than 162cm

      I am 160cm :)

What are you doing that you will sleep in your car, with a baby/kid asleep in their car seat?!

Doesn't sound like a good plan

    • I need to take the kid to school in the morning, work and study at night.

My husband will pick up our kid as he will not work from the end of this month.

      Great team work :)

I Still don't get why you are sleeping in the car, seems like you will be doing it at day time?

      • Why don't you remove the baby seat and leave it on the drivers seat while sleeping and then just put it back in the morning?

Sleeping in cars is dangerous. Can easily get poisoned with fumes

    • If you leave the engine running in a car whilst sleeping you are a worthy recipient of the Darwin award.
