  Buy an AT&T Gosim when you arrive.

  Either just walk into an AT&T store when you're there and get a Gosim as suggested. Or buy it before hand ($14 on ebay - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/282381250244)

  I've done both. If you buy the sim here, you can ring AT&T via Skype (free call) and add credit to it before you leave so as soon as you land you're ready to go.

  AT&T offers the best coverage as far as I'm aware.

  AT&T sim is easily the best option.

  T-Mobile is rubbish for data outside a big city.

  I will only be in cities. Have used T-Mobile and it's OK. There's so many plans …

  GoSim has a USD60 plan can buy on arrival at a/port. Is it available here - would be 'better' in AUD.

  I bought a T-Mobile card when i got there. Was US$60 for 10gb data and unlimited text and calls.

    This is what I need - straight forward, But 25% more expensive than AUD. Was it 30 days? Did you get it at a kiosk at the airport, or went into a shop on the ground?

      shop on the ground. I went in June. 30 Days. I didn't give a toss about the cost, i just wanted the gb.
