Didn't receive package, PayPal won't dispute claim

Folks,
I ordered a. Helicopter from Rosegal some time back in December from this deal : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/283979

They sent me a courier tracking no of some sytrack. The status of the package is still 'Arrived in destination country' ie Australia. I tried reaching the vendor any the delivery but there was no reply. Then I tried raising a PayPal dispute since I didn't receive the package. PayPal closed the dispute stating they cannot decide the dispute in my favour at this time.

Now I have not received the package neither am I able to contact anyone who can tell me any the status of the package.

What are my options now?

Contact your bank if you paid with a credit/debit card linked to paypal and organise a chargeback.

      Chargeback is your best bet.

If you cant get a chargeback - Dispute the case or call up Paypal and talk to them - very helpful most of the time

Thank you for your comments…Will try for a charge back and update here…
    Cheers!

  • Arrived in destination country.. Is this DHL? After DHL post's your item it goes to a local delivery agent. In my case, it was Auspost. Might be able to lookup the item with them.

    • All my DHL packages have been delivered with a DHL courier. Do you live in a rural area?

There is some case that if package comes in weekend they passed the (some) parcels to AusPost even generally DHL handle themselves.

  • I've had some packages enter a blackhole after entering the country. Usually takes a week or so to pop back out, usually the next notification is delivery.

I ordered a wireless hard disc drive from the US in March 2016. Still showing on Australia Post tracking as pending!

It arrived in Australia, and then vanished. I have totally unsatisfactory conversations with Australia Post and Border Protection. Both blame each other for the missing parcel.

Simple fact of the matter is that the drive was stolen. There is no other logical explanation. Maybe given to the former useless CEO as part of his separation package!

Fortunately the supplier sent me a replacement which thankfully did arrive.

Finally… Mailed PayPal about the dispute being resolved inappropriately… They reviewed again in my favor.. Yay!!
    Thanks for all the comments…

  • I have a similar problem with my purchase from Rosegal (though different item).

I placed an order at Rosegal about 2.5 months ago and it still hasn't arrived. The dodgy looking chinese tracking site shows it has been in Australia customs since beginning of February, so way over a month now. The product I ordered is worth less than $10, paid just under AUD$3 for it. I contacted Rosegal multiple times, confirming address and waiting until it hit the 2.5 months mark, still nothing. Now I've requested a refund. Rosegal has audacity to say that because I didn't purchase insurance, I'm not entitled to a refund. But out of goodwill because I'm a valued customer they will do a partial refund of ~AUD$1, or I can pay an extra 50% of order value for them to resend the item.

    Paypal dispute here I go.

OP, did paypal say why they closed your dispute initially? Was it because the tracking showed the parcel was in Australia?

    AVOID ROSEGAL

    • PayPal don't give any reason. Their reply mentioned that they can't rule the dispute in my favour at this point of time, that's it.
