  • wats diferent to the normal COH? thought it already had MP

It doesn't have the British and PE factions and is a pile of unbalanced crap ;)

  • i signed up..so would u say its not worth dling?

  • From what I have read, this is NOT the same as the multiplayer of the retail CoH. This online version only has 2 of the 4 factions as it's missing the British and Panzer Elite factions. It only has the Americans and Wehrmacht but they've been renamed Allies and Axis respectively, and both are missing some of the original units (from what I can see on the official site).

I kind of wish this wasn't free because it means many people won't bother buying the retail versions, which people should know are worth every dollar! My favourite RTS.

Geez 11GB download of a deliberately hobbled game - glad i didn't waste the bandwidth!!

Ok I downloaded it and it's stupid. It's the same game as the original CoH except they've tried to implement experience, leveling up and unlocking new units/items. All these units and items though are just from CoH so you have to level up to unlock everything? Or you purchase them. Not 100% sure as I didn't spend long in it.. I don't see why they even bothered with this. It'll just split the community.

People should just wait for another Steam sale and buy the original game with at least the first expansion to get the other 2 factions so they can just play normal multiplayer.. Last time they had

Company of Heroes - $3.74 USD
Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts - $3.74 USD
Company of Heroes Tales of Valor - $7.49 USD

which is like giving it away for free anyway..

  • Ooh this is interesting. Not that these online games are good for me, they more often than not ruin my life. So where do I sign up?
