Recommendations for Credit Card with Complimentary Airport Lounge Access

My parents are travelling to Europe in a couple months' time.

They have a long transit in Bangkok and I'm hoping I can find a credit card or other way to get complimentary access to one of the lounges there. Access to other airport lounges in Europe would also be handy.

It looks like the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black would be ideal for this but I don't think they would qualify because of their income (needs to be greater than $75,000).

Are there any other credit cards that might be suitable? Any other ways to get complimentary or cheap airport lounge access?

Thanks so much!

Diners Club card (yeah it's still around) gives you access to http://www.dinersclublounges.com/ around the world. The HK one is excellent, the Malaysian one is average, but even then it still has a small buffet, drinks, wifi, showers etc.

Citibank Signature gives you 2 x airport lounge passes per year with prioritypass.

Its $199 for the first year but you get 75000 points which is good for a $400 gift card.

Otherwise they could pay for lounge access.

    no such card exists.

If their income > $75k, all the cards which has lounge access worldwide is ruled out, CitiPrestige (PP), CitiSignature (PP), Amex Platinum (PP), ANZBlack (Veloce)

    • What about BankWest More World Mastercard?

2x Priority Pass lounge access per year. Doesn't specifically say income required though.

While I don't know for sure, looking at the minimum credit limit of this card ($12k), and comparing this across other cards with the same/similar limits, I'd say the income requirements is up there too.

"Usually" cards one tier below the 75k income requirement mark will have minimum CC limit of circa $6k.

Quite embarrassed I got the "<" ">" the wrong way around.

In all honesty, going through all the trouble of getting a premium credit card (and having some unknown person study your personal finances/tax records) just for a lounge pass is not worth the effort. Don't get me wrong, it's great having a premium card for it's benefits, but not just for that.

AUD27 per person for lounge access. Definitely worth it if in transit for long stopover.

    • Definitely agree, not worth it just for a couple lounge passes, especially at $27 each (thanks for the link!).

They will be transiting through 6 airports so a card with unlimited access would have been nice, plus any additional card benefits.

  • prioritypass.com worked for me for years when I was overseas and travelling to places that did not have reciprocal QANTAS Club lounge access.

  • By the way do things like buffet usually cost extra in airport lounges?

    • I've never been in a lounge that did.

Although the quality of the buffets varies across lounges.

  • I have no idea
