Fingerprint App Locker for Android

Hi folks,

I'm trying to find an app that will lock other apps using my fingerprint.

I've tried App Locker and CM App Lock but whenever I clear my apps, it disappears and my apps are no longer protected. I was hoping to find one that would run in the background and wouldn't disappear when I try and clear the Android apps. Or if there was a work around to this where I can make an exception and not have it appear or close down when I look at the list of background apps that are running.

Recommendations or workarounds to my problem anyone?

    Why not lock your entire phone?

    In this sense, EVERY app on your phone is protected, and you don't have to stress about the locking service itself playing up. I find it's quicker and easier to use than my PIN, but I can use my PIN if needed.

    If you need to 'allow' access to other apps without needing a security lock, then having a second user profile is handy (e.g. shared games on a family tablet). That way, the other user is unsecured/uses a PIN etc, while all your 'secure' apps and data is self contained and under your fingerprint.

      Recently something happened when I gave my phone to someone to use but they went snooping. So it's just made me cautious as to not allow other people who do use my phone the ability to go and view things they're not meant to view

    CM App Locker and even Clean Master App lock is fair enough. You need to go through the settings again. There is an option that says once you have unlocked your app, it won't be relocked until you turn off your mobile screen. Change this setting to lock the app again when it is closed. Your problem will be solved.

      Whenever I open up the menu to terminate the background apps, CM Applock is there and I decided to close all of the apps to save my RAM (including CM Applock). I'm looking for a solution where it will run in the background and not be closed when i do decide to terminate all the apps that I'm running or if there's an app that offers that functionality.

      There's not much point in having it if it's so easily bypassed by holding the middle button and then pressing X on the screen to terminate the app. At that point they can open the apps that were once locked.

      Do you know of any solutions?

    Has adverts on the lockscreen, but I block them with a firewall.

      I've just tried downloading it. It doesn't appear in the multi-tasking tray but when I clear it all, the app turns off and gives me a message saying "Please install Helper in Settings and exclude AppLock in Task Manager when cleaning memory". I'm not really sure what Helper app this message is speaking of. Did you get this message?

    Ahhhhh I managed to get it! My phone actually comes with an app locker which doesn't die when I clear my memory.

      Oh, so the App lock was there in your phone and you were searching it on the forum asking for suggestions :P
