    Where?

Also if possible a card without tap pay would be great

    Why?

    • Ive editied the post to include the countries. In regards to why no tap pay im jsut paranoid that i will lose my card and someone will make purchases before i notice ive lost it

The 3 UK sim is the best option for the countries you are in.

£30 will get you unlimited for 30 days in the UK. I'm not actually sure if that includes Scotland or not. I have a feeling Switzerland isn't included either.

For the other countries you will get 3GB of data to use and topping up is pretty easy.

These sims go on sale often. Otherwise you can get them at Heathrow from a vending machine.

As for tap and pay don't worry about that. You need to be careful. With internet banking you can cancel the card straight away.

Obviously get a travel card from your regular bank as a backup.

Insurance - cover more is usually who I go with.

Ive used this SIM, its super shitty and slow outside of the UK.

@Gunther: I agree it's not the best outside the UK but it isn't very expensive and it saves having to change numbers every 3 countries like I had to.

If you need fast wifi , Apple Stores are your best bet.

Re travel insurance: read small print carefully before deciding. Vast majority of policies do not offer "new for old" if you claim an item lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair, instead they calculate market value of your used item. Taking excess into account often it is not worth claiming at all. A good home contents insurance usually refunds cost of replacement (or "new for old").

  • TID for insurance.

    Citibank debit visa card.

    No idea about phones.

Have fun. Scotland is very cool 😎 Try and get to the highlands.
