I need to buy a new smart phone for my Dad (Senior Citizen) this weekend as his just died. So it needs to be from an Australia Brick&Mortar store - thinking JbHifi, Officeworks, etc
Any recommendations around this price point of $250 max? Looking for the most powerful.

My mum uses the Moto G4 Plus, it does cost more than the G4 PLay but with an added .5 inch to display size it makes using the onscreen keyboard a better experience.

The other big difference is the chipset — Snapdragon 617 giving better performance and also the benefit of Turbo charging (charges the phone quickly in less than 30 minutes)

I'm 64, so my vision is no longer what it was, and I love my G4 Plus.
Brilliant screen and excellent battery life.
Next it'll be bifocal screen overlays lol.
I would suggest the Moto G4 Play

From personally experience after using Samsung, Sony and Motorola phones. I quite like the Motorola design and hand feel, of course I am basing my motorola experience on the Moto x Style so it could be different for the G4.
