Last Minute Holidays

Hey guys,

I have a few weeks off with nothing planned. Looking at taking the family (wife and two kids under 4) on holiday.

Are there any last minute deal websites anyone can suggest? Pretty flexible on anything but it should be kid friendly.

    Hi,
    https://allthedeals.com.au/travel/
allows to to browse Australia and Overseas deals, just click on "Categories"

  • Thanks, really very flexible on options.

I'm just looking for bargains, I am keeping an eye out on the cruise websites but am limited to domestic because one of the kids is under 12 months.

Are there any other travel industries that offer bargains for "pack and go" type holidays?

If you are flexible have a look here http://www.imoova.com/imoova/relocations it likely would be for only a week but took our kids on one, (younger two would have been under 4) and they had a ball, they still talk about it occasionally. You can usually tell who the actual company it's through by the terms and conditions, we went with a smaller company but if I had my time again I go with one of the bigger players as they were really disorganised.

    • thanks, I like that idea! will keep an eye on this

        A couple of extra tips,

You can normally figure out who it is through and then go to that companies website and book it direct through them, I'd probably do this as it's one less company involved for stuff up's.

You can get travel insurance through 1cover (probably others as well) this covers your excess reduction for a much lower cost than through rental companies.

The one issue I saw when looking into this was someone who had flown there family interstate to get a camper and drive it back but when they got there it had broken down or the company had hired it out to someone else (I can't quite remember) they refunded him the small amount he had paid but that didn't help him much. I think (look into it) the insurance cover would also help you in this situation as well.

Check to make sure they have child seat restraints.

If you do it, get the wiki camps app as it is great at looking up places to stay.
