Sony 8500D (Seconds) TV for $1400 - A Good Deal?

Hi,

Just bought a Sony X8500D "(Seconds)" using the eBay code for $1400. Hoping its a good deal?

Also, hope the "seconds" doesn't mean a defective/damaged product?

  • Seconds from the Sony store will be working.
Could have been a demo, damaged box or returb. All come with full new warranty.
I have bought some big ticket items from them and have been very satisfied.

    What size tv?

    • 55" KD55X8500d

    • I'm also curious as to how your 'seconds' tv is going. What condition did it turn up in?

  • Since it's been a couple of weeks (or more) - how is your TV going ? I'm also thinking of purchasing this exact model (looked at the X7000D and the X8500D and the latter seems to be a much better tv for the next 2-3 years)

Just been searching around for the best deal and The Good Guys (with 5% off) seems to be about the best at $1420 (or $1470 delivered)

    • Did you end up buying it? I'm looking at the X8500D as well. I think i'd rather pay the extra 66 bucks from The Good Guys and know i'm getting a brand new unit though rather than take the slim risk of a seconds unit not being up to scratch.

      • I haven't bought one yet as I was trying to decide between a Sony 55" and the Hisense 7000. The more I read the more I am inclined to just buy the Sony.. but I have to budget in a sound bar as well..
