Need Unlimited Data, ADSL+2, New Setup

Hi everyone,

Myself and my partner recently moved into a share home (townhouse) where the current housemate has no internet setup.

We have been using our phones for internet connection but running out of data!

We don't know how long we will stay on at this property, but at this stage we need a reliable internet connection.

I don't think the current telephone line is active so I think there are set up fees that we need to pay.

We are looking for an unlimited data plan, ADSL+2, perhaps a 12 month contract, reliable but on the cheap side. (would be better month by month).

We live in Melbourne, in the northern suburbs.

Can anyone recommend any plans or providers?

Big thanks in advance!

  • Belong.com.au has month to month plans and are affordable.

    • All the usual providers.

If u want cheap TPG, if u want premium Telstra, Optus etc. and a host in between, but they all pretty much do the same thing.

Only Telstra, Optus, TPG own their own line, so they are more likely to fix things quicker in case of faults.

      • I'm in a similar situation to OP and TPG seems to get really good feedback from most people I've spoken to who use them - not at all the negative reviews I was expecting. It sounds like they've solved a lot of their issues. Fast enough to use Netflix during peak times (assuming your line supports it), so no huge congestion issues in either Carlton or near Chadstone.

        • The truth is, if you read the net most reviews will be of frustrations from bad service, most happy people just use it and move on with life. So I always keep that in the back of my mind.

  • Leaptel are pretty decent so far.
