So do I just use my phone charger or the supplied USB cord connected to my computer to recharge the unit?

  English manual here if you wanted to take a look, it might be for the previous version but it should be much the same. Advice below will be better anyway.

Either one will work.
But if you want to make the most of it's capabilities, use a USB adaptor that's got Quick Charge (comes with the later Samsung phones). It charges quite fast!

The phone will only ever draw the power it requires, for example, my 5amp OppoR7 (80% charge in 30 minutes) charger works fine on my ZTE Zip (30$ phone, 1.2amp charge) … just not as fast …
