I have recently increased the size of my family and am now embarking on increasing the size of my ride.
With a bit of research I have a target price in mind that 2 different dealers haven't been able to get to.
The best price that I have been offered is $43,500 drive away on a new 2016 GX AWD Kluger Auto.
Has anyone been able to do better than this?

The Fortuner looks like a decent 4wd machine. For me I don't see myself hitting more than dirt tracks and fire roads on regular MTB missions (small time windows slipped between the agendas of others in my household).
Fuel is a concern, in my case work pays for my fuel so not a financial issue.
I should have mentioned auto as well. People are trying to sell 2 year old Klugers for a similar price to what I am looking at new so resale value appears to very good.
The DA price cannot be compared easily as finance, trade in etc will affect it.
If you like kluger and feel it's worth $43,500 go for it.
you know what ive noticed about 90% of Toyota Kluger owners, they have no idea how to drive.

I'm pretty sure that my driving skills won't deteriorate on purchase, I'm interested to put it to the test though.. targetting as close as possible to $40k which means a higher mileage Prado so not that keen as good as a Prado would be

ps best price you can do with a platinum discount is $43,300 and with gold discount is $44,200, so getting it for $43,500 is a good deal.
make sure its a recently build car eg under 5 months ago.
Thanks Tuzii, do those discounted prices include the dealer delivery fee or would they try to sting that on top? My prices were drive away which I assume means they won't try to charge dealer delivery on top..

New Kluger arrives anytime now so maybe hold off for better clearance sales.
Fortuner is ugly inside and out and comfort nowhere near as good as the Kluger.
Kluger should be renamed the guzzler. that and the cx9 and territory petrol.
You are getting near to Prado pricing and about the pricing of the fortuner. Both of which come with a diesel donk for better economy. Prado will have a much better resale over the kluger. The jury is still out on the fortuner but it will likely have a better resale than the kluger too.
