Robotic Vacuum Cleaners

Hi all,

I have a problem and I want to know if a robotic vacuum cleaner can fix it.

I have a large window in my room which I like to keep open. As a result, I find my room gets a lot of dust in it, particualrly on windy days.

I'm not home mots of the day - usally only at night.

The flooring is timber floorboards.

If I get a robotic vacuum cleaner and leaveit on all day (while im at uni), will I come home to a relatively dust-free room? Particularly under my bed (hard to reach with conventional broom stick).

Thanks all!

If your floor is relatively empty, it should work fine. If you leave clothes/bags/etc on the floor it will probably avoid some sections of the room.

I found the 'roomba' quite loud, so it might be annoying for other people in the house if its running a few times a day. It's also a pain to clean the dust trap and other pieces.

IMO, just get a dyson stick. It'll only take 30 seconds to run each day or even twice a day.

    • Thankyou!

      consdiering that :)

    • We got a roomba 630 last month and it's great, cleaning it is quick and simple and replacement brushes, filters and rollers are cheap as on ebay. It wont 'go all day' but it will clean for an hour or two then put itself back on the charger. You can get the more expensive models with a timer function that you set for it to go off automatically.

  • What sort of security do you have on the window, given you are leaving it open all day whilst you aren't home?

    • bikies

  • Dust gets everywhere on your furniture. You need a feather duster too

    • You get those free if you buy a French maid.

      • Does the french maid do anything else for free?
