Mattress topper - which one?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a good quality, king size mattress topper. I'm not sure what type are best but I'll consider anything - memory foam, wool, etc.

I'm looking for a good quality one and will spend a few hundred dollars if needed….I can get a good one for that?? I'd preferably like to pick one up from,a shop over the weekend but would consider getting one online if there's a big saving to be made.

Your advice, as always, would be appreciated.

Cheers

Been using a 10cm memory foam from oz-auction on eBay for a few years.
    Very happy :)
King size $179.95 less current eBay COOLBANANAS discount of 10%.

  • Cheers Dave but as SSS said, foam can get hot (I've just been reading about it).

We are in Brisbane and the wife has a 3kW backside so I'm loathe to get foam to be honest but thanks for the input.

the wife has a 3kW backside

energy companies would love to tap that source of energy

Yes, foam gets hot, the better alternative is to buy polyester mattress toppers or woolen ones

Wool costs a lot but perhaps you could try GraysOnline on eBay or even a e-tailer like Deals Direct / Catch of the Day for cheaper brands.

I have a Jason branded one and it's pretty good, and cheap.

      No sweat :)

Ex Brisbane and NQ myself. 1960/70s.
Actually warmer down here in the Otways past few days.

Have a mattress protector over the foam and zero problems.

Purchased a SB one for any visitor.

Would not be without mine. Bad back. Sugar industry.

      Cheers!

If you are in Melbourne, and can wait for a little while, I would talk to the Tontine outlet people and find out when the next sale is; the last one was yesterday. They have a bunch of different mattress toppers for roughly $20 - $100.

    • I'm in Brisbane. Thanks for the info though.
