I really don't like the way you promote your business. if you can not afford providing a deal then stop posting on ozbargain of wasting both your and our time. otherwise please mark the shoes as $50 to make it eligible to free postage. Then we can call it as a deal!!

This is not something new from them:

The strategy annoys the hell out of me. But if the shoes seem like a bargain at $62.90, then that should be assessed on its own merit. I don't think it's worthy of a negative though.

      • Not only is it not worthy of a negative, it also goes against the voting guidelines.

        • You gave a link to the guidelines but I don't see what it violates.

        • @Risto:

Oops. Forgot about this. Well, like anything it's subjective but from my point of view the negative was given because he doesn't like the way the business is promoted (over the pricing difference of 5c to avoid having to ship the shoes for free).

To me, that's just not a sufficient enough reason as it's really just a veiled way of saying it's not a deal because I don't get free shipping.

Can you find these shoes cheaper anywhere else after postage? If so, then sure. If not, shut up.

  • No size 15 mens… Typical.

That approach does not work well at OzBargain.

  • Ozbargainers please give the OP a break. They've already got a massive number of angry customers to deal with.

    • +2

I suggest OP should give himself a break of stopping introducing this retarded pricing and trying to lure more sales.

      • +1

Agree - better to offer the shoes at $63 with free shipping. Better to let someone feel like they're getting a deal and something free, than feel like they being forced to pay shipping because they fall short by $0.05…

I'd normally look at this kind of deal - but crap like this annoys me.

  • the Timberland Nubuck wheatmarket's are pretty cheap for $150 posted….

  • I actually really like new balance minimus shoes, they are hard to find in Australia and my old pair are falling apart, and they have my size.. But, those reviews are really putting me off. Half of them sound fake and the other half seem to have gotten the wrong size and been unable to return.

Take a look at their return policy if you're ever in doubt:
All of below quoted from: http://www.theshoelink.com.au/pages/return-policy#

      • receipt of your returned items must be completed within 14 consecutive days of the invoice date (purchase date)

Note: For returns, the shoes must already be received by them within 14 days from the invoice date. The time starts ticking from the order date, rather than when you received it. Never mind the extra days required in the post due to weekends.

      • Items returned outside of the invoiced 14 day time limit will not receive a refund. We will hold such items for a maximum period of 7 days during which the customer may arrange collection at their expense. After this period, products will be disposed of

Note: If for any reason its rejected, it'll be fun trying to get them picked up before they 'dispose of it'

      • If for any reason you fail to receive an Return Authorisation Number via email within 2 business days of your request, please contact us by phone on 1 300 837 003.

Note: If we're not responding to you promptly, feel free to keep trying while the 14 day limit keeps ticking.

Neg vote because of the very poor return policy - purchase at your own risk if it doesn't fit.

Also, "make sure shoes are only worn on carpet to avoid marking or damaging your items"

    These were $49 from COTD.
Typical of this store, they're trying to clear old old stock that other retailers don't even have anymore, giving it a pretense of a bargain with the >$50 free shipping, then pricing the shoes at $49, yeah thats just scummy.
