How Much Weight Do You Put on The Scene Comparison Tool?

Hi,

Before buying a camera, I am using the scene comparison tool. How much weight do the pros and veterans give it when making a purchasing decision? It looks to me like the Sony A7rII is the king when compared to any other camera using this tool. Is that a reliable conclusion? I mean, I could buy it and fool myself into thinking that this has the best image quality, but is that really the case in real life? I can't try and buy cameras all day long. I am less interested in the 'fun' of the journey towards finding the camera. I'd rather someone just tell me that these 3-5 cameras are end-game cameras and be done with it for years to come.

I realize that ergnomics, user interface, battery life, lens availability, price, etc will affect a buying decision. But if we're just talking about finding the 'best image quality' is the studio scene comparison tool the best way to determine that?

  • how deep are your pockets?

I own a Sony RX1, its coming upto 4 years old now, and im still damn happy with the results

  • Not to be rude, but why would you spend so much when you don't know what you want? You can take great pictures for a quarter of that price.
