I am helping a friend asking around. He's sending money every couple weeks to Mexico and would like to minimise the costs, so can anyone suggest the best app/agent/online site out there (decent exchange rates and preferrably very low to no fee)?

At face value and at that sum, probably no suss. Family might have run into problems and needed the regular transfers.
Ideally, You'd want to make as little transactions as possible. I doubt there'll be no fees. Might it be easier to let them use his credit card (not sure how this works for long term).

Is it to the same person? Is it going to be ongoing? If yes then how about he gets a citibank DEBIT master card (or similar card with no foreign ATM fees) and then send the card and its pin to the person in mexico. They use it to withdraw money from an ATM there.
