Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Screen Repair

Dropped my phone and cracked my screen FML right?

I tried to get my warranty to cover it but unfortunately the people at Kogan has explained they do not cover user damage - which i was expecting but i had to try?

So far the ebst quote i've been given is 280 and that was from the Samsung store in highpoint i've had third party repaired quote me upwards of $400 (Considering i paid 850$ for the phone i think they're on crack)

Anyone know a good place to get a S7 edge fixed cheap?

(Really wishing i got the regular s7 because the cases and screen protector would of fit better)

Why not go direct to Samsung? The price seems reasonable enough plus they'd have to guarantee the quality of the repair.

There are plenty of S7 edge specific cases and screen protectors. Know a few people with them and have cases and screen protectors that work just fine.

  • Samsung are the cheapest, I know from experience, $280 is the cheapest you will get, the reason why the thrid party places charge so much is they have to remove the screen from the main board and its time and labour and part. Where Samsung's $280 is just there fee.

  • Your best is to go Samsung directly as they will provide warranty unlike other small shops that will decline after anything goes wrong. Most small shops don't use genuine samsung screens as it costs more for them therefore less profit.

TBH screen repairs directly such as from Apple or Samsung are very affordable now days, there's almost no reason to go to a small shop unless they can do it for less than $100 and provide warranty.

I don't get why you would even try, Kogan isn't stupid. That's almost like buying a new car, having an accident then going back to the dealer and say this is a warranty problem.

  • +1

280 can get you a brand new xiaomi phone

I bought a regular s7 this week and literally 3 days later as I was waiting for my case it fell out of my pocket and shattered the entire back.
