Is There Anything to Stop Someone Buying Meal Deal and Selling Individually?

I was buying a family burger box with some uni friends the other day from KFC and one of my mates brought up the idea of buying one of these boxes and selling the burgers at a discounted rate as you get them cheaper in the meal and could therefore make a profit? It seemed ridiculous but also worthy of asking the ozbargain masses haha

    Lack of customers?

Psst. hey you over there… you wanna buy some burgers?

Who would you sell them to?

By the time I get my food from KFC I'm already wondering how long it's been since it was cooked. This just adds another step.

    • He is going to carry a portable pie warmer to keep the burgers warm and ready to sell. I'd go one step further and carry an eski as well for the cold can of drink. It can fetch $1 a can.

Even better, stand at Woolworths checkout and offer to pay for customers groceries at 1% discount. pay with 5% off egift cards and you would make heaps!

Don't forget the added bonuses from the credit card rewards and Woolworths Rewards!

It's worth a try. You can easily make a few hundred dollars a day! The problem is you need a portable credit card terminal to accept card payments from other customers :X

Common sense, generally.. but I think that's becoming less common

I hope this was one of those stupid drunk talks. If it was a tiny bit serious, your friend is an idiot.

This idea has potential legal, health and market problems.

  • It seemed ridiculous but also worthy of asking the ozbargain masses haha

No, it's not worthy. Just ridiculous.
