I'm Used to Old Time Accounting on The PC and Want to Go Mobile. Can You Help?

Hi everybody,

I'm using Quicken 2002 on a Windows 8 desktop PC ( to:
- record transactions across multiple accounts
- manually reconcile my records against bank statements
- have an offline repository of my transactions
- be able to search my transactions to get all details about transactions
- generate lists of transactions that can go into spreadsheets, that I can then rearrange and process for my tax

I have an android tablet and phone.

What I'd like:
- work with my accounts on the tablet or phone
- recording transactions when I'm out and about / as they happen
- taking zero to many linked photos for an individual transaction (eg for a computer taking photos of receipts, object, serial numbers)
- downloading those photos to the PC, saved in some structured way so the photos are easily found later
- reconciling my bank accounts in an easier way, that still allows me to see what the program plans to do, and intervene on a transaction by transaction basis as need be
- upload my Quicken files
- still be able to export data to Excel (if it's in a ready to go for tax format, that'd be great)
- be able to store back ups of my data
- ideally the app can also handle trading of stocks and options (most likely Australian stocks and options), showing what I still have unsold, possibly the value of my portfolio (even updating prices manually/from the internet)

Does anyone have any suggestions of any Android apps that could help and/or forums/videos to watch, to learn how to do my personal accounts in 2017?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help. I've been stuck on Quicken 2002 for ages now. :S
(Pet peeve about Quicken is, when I get a new computer, I have to ring up Quicken, to re-register it before I can use it. I'm not even sure that'll be do-able in the near future)

    Zoho Pro Invoicing.

That's a long list of features ; keep in mind nowadays a lot of things are on a subscription model, so price is important

You could look up free trials for xero, quickbooks etc. and give those a shot

Can't you copy registry data over to the other computer as well if you need to re-register? or is it unique to the computer, I can't believe you're still able to ring them up about it, that's pretty crazy for ~15 year old software (?)

    • It's been a few years since I last rang up.

I'll look into those suggestions. Thank you :)
