Mobile Tork Hand Soap Dispenser

Hi everyone,

this is a completely random post on our great bargain website, but I love some of your out of the box ideas.

I have a Tork soap dispenser (http://www.tork.co.uk/product/561608) that I need to mount onto something but not mounted permanently to a wall. I need it to have a heavy base and a gap between base and dispenser for your hand to go in and trigger the sensor. Needs to be semi-mobile, but will generally stay in the same spot. It needs to be hard up against a wall, so the base needs to be sturdy enough yet under the unit.

Anyone got any ideas?

  • Sand in a plastic container and a plank of wood with some nuts and bolts to hold it upright would do the trick
you could then attach a chain to it to ensure no one walks off with it

    • It's in our house, so security is not an issue. Hoping not to use wood, at least for the base due to it getting wet. Not a massive issue though.

  • How about one of these http://www.kmart.com.au/product/chrome-plated-paper-towel-st… so it wont matter if it gets wet. Then mount the dispenser vertical by way of duct tape or you could use brackets. It might topple over but if its up against the wall it should be ok

  • Mount the unit to a book end for example should be able to make neat job.

    • Mate, that's genius. Doing this for sure.
