this is an absolute bargain! A friend of mine has one of these. Ultra compact and so easy to carry. He using it fishing all the time. I have been looking for one but have always been around the $50 mark. Will have to pick one or maybe 2 up for sure. Thanks for the post

  • looks like a great price.
I wonder how they compare in sturdiness and comfort to the usual chair design.
I just picked up 2 of these from aldi for $40 each

they loos very sturdy and great quality, but i'm tempted to just take them back and buy these.

the real advantage of these is how compact they are. packed up these are less than a third of the size of the aldi chair (i have the colosis also). i will say the compact lite is not comfortable for long/all day sitting sessions.

    • They definitely won't be as sturdy or as comfortable as those - these are more intended for short sittings and something light and compact to carry on a bike or possibly hiking.

My whole family used one each on our trip to Cape York. I am 100kg and love swinging back on my chairs. These things are amazingly sturdy. would buy more if needed, even at reg RRP!

  • i've had a go with my friend's one and the compact ones aren't that comfortable. Low back support so you couldn't spend too long sitting in them. Mostly buy these for the compactness not for comfort. Great if you are limited for boot space or just want to carry something small for fishing, beach or picnic. Not the best for long stays or long camping trips in my opinion

  • I agree with everything stated above, they aren't the most comfortable but pretty much nothing will pack quite as small. For example, a lot of motorcycle riders like to have something to sit in after a long day riding - but don't want the bulkiness and added weight of the larger chairs.

    Nice price but $9.90 shipping…

Having a steel frame it's likely to be a bit heavier than the aluminium framed ones, not really an issue unless your backpacking or on a motorcycle…

I use one of these 1kg ones for motorcycle camping… it's ok, comfy enough, size and weight is good…

How do you find the quality of these? How long have you had it, and have you had any issues?

The quality is pretty good for a chinese knock-off, I've had it about 18 months, no issues….

They're a copy of the Helinox chairs that sell for $124:

They don't "seem" very sturdy really, but they're adequate, I'm 90+kg and it handles my weight fine…

        • The only things that look different are the logo and the leg caps… lol

    • $15.90 delivery in WA

    • Just pick it up in-store? There's Big Ws everywhere these days.

That eBay one looks good, ideal for someone that is lighter and doesn't need the 135kg rating of the OZtrail one.

  • can you buy this in store as well or only online?
