Lenovo ThinkPad T470s Price

Hi All, just looking for some advice, I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to PC parts and components so I'm looking for others opinions on my scenario.

After TA's T460s deal and it subsequently not coming back, what's a good/reasonable price to pay for a T470s?

Lenovo currently have it for $1799 ($400 discount from RRP); http://www3.lenovo.com/au/en/deals/current-offers/deals-of-t… (hopefully that link works). I'd get backlit keyboard. I assume over time more and more deals will come out with better savings but it'll take a while to get down to the magic $1000 mark of the T460s.

I've been on the hunt for a new laptop for a while now, I'm currently using is a Toshiba Portege M750. Laughable I know, but it was mainly for uni work because anything else would make it explode.

I currently have a desktop gaming PC so gaming would not be a requirement for obvious 'desktop is better' reasons.

The reason I'm leaning towards the T470s is because of Thunderbolt 3 for it's usability in the future, and of course the great durability, upgradeability and quality.

I follow the Dell outlet for Latitudes but I think I'd prefer the Lenovos (unless someone can convince me otherwise).

The only other thing which comes into play is that I'll be claiming on this purchase and I'm wondering if I should consider a different laptop to maximise return on writing it off. The Razer blade springs to mind here but there's never any deals on them.

TLDR; Buy now, wait for T470s price drops or ball out and get a Razer Blade? or Dell.
