Today I went to Reid Cycle Sydney store on Parramatta Rd looking for a bike. I was looking for the new version of the City 1 that just came out. When I asked the staff, the guy told me that they won't be getting the new version but that I could order online. I said I was hoping to test drive it. He replied that it would be impossible because the store is closing down for good. I was shocked. Then he walked me around the store and since they need to get rid of all the stock they still have in the store, he offered me an Urban X1 for just $350! What a bargain! Also, all accessories are 50% off. They are hoping to clear everything by April 15th and shut the store. Hurry up guys!

I left the store with an X1 and loads of accessories!

The bad news is, since the store is closing and it won't be relocated, they won't be servicing any bikes after closing.

  Do they have much stock? I've been looking at buying a bike the last 3/4 months waiting for a sale… seems like the best sale ill get. Worth an hours drive for me to get there?

    I saw plenty of the mid and high range in stock. Also heaps of ladies vintage and that kind of stuff.

  Seems odd that they're closing that one for good, they seemed like they were expanding somewhat rapidly there for a while

    I know, right? It didn't make sense to me then. Now browsing their website, the only pick up locations they offer are Melbourne and Brisbane, not Sydney anymore.

  An Urban X1 is usually $449, so that about 22% off? Did they have any X2 on sale as well?

    Well, I got in the store asking for a City 1 which is $350, and then the staff member told me he could match the price giving me an X1 for $350. Yup, they had a few X1, X2 and X3 there.

      Yeah, i posted the deal. Still not sure why it was removed for reason "no bargain listed". Anyway, looks like its worth checking out. A shame the store is closing down.

  There's a great deal (additional discounts) for the Falco Advanced (mixed 105 group set) and Elite (full 105 group set). A great price, but the only catch is sizes are limited, and they're only selling existing stock)

  Good riddance. The only thing worse than their bikes, was their staff.
