Bought chromecast ultra yesterday and super happy with it, however, i noticed the temperature is concerning me. Even when the TV is off it's really warm! I would say close to hot.
Anyone experiencing the same issue? I know some people turn it off when not using it but I thought they meant to stay on 24/7? The 1st gen chromecast 1 doesn't have this issue because u can connect it into the tv's USB .

The problem you have is Google really doesn't want you to turn it off because the device's purpose is to send as much data as possible about every single thing it possibly can to Google so they can serve advertising you don't want. If it's off it's pointless to Google.
I heard a funny story about a person who had a voice active TV. Apparently their dog was barking near the TV, and eventually the owner started receiving ads for dog food. Probably B.S, but still funny.
If its not burning or causing an issue then I wouldn't worry about it personally
heat comes off electronics, make sure its plugged into the tv nice and snug before worrying too much
could be shorting if its not plugged in tightly
