Samsung Galaxy S8 Woolworths Promo - Check Your Purchase Status if You Haven't Received an Email

Referring to the bargain above, I placed an order with Woolworths and at the end it said my purchase was successful. I used the cashrewards link to buy it and even they sent me a tracking email acknowledging the purchase. The problem though was that I never received an email from Woolworths confirming or declining my order so I decided to check with their customer support today….lo and behold they told me the order never went through. When asked for an explanation, they just said they could not locate the purchase as my number is not registered with them even though I opted for my number to be ported over.

At least I only lost a little bit of money and only bought a phone case. For those that share a similar situation like me, check with them!

  • How many emails did you get? I called them up and said it was successfully processed, although I did not get a confirmation email.

      none, no automated emails confirming my purchase. Went through live chat and then called their 1300 hotline and was told that I wasn't even in their system.

      wasn't until I left a negative feedback on the entire process did they get someone who had a better understanding of this figure it out (address I input was not recognized as it was remote) and confirmed my order….I guess I'm happy at the end of this all but having known the hoops I had to go through and being told the first 2 times that it was my fault that it didn't register correctly doesn't fill me with confidence in their customer support now that I'm in a 2 year contract with them….we'll see how it goes.

      I received multiple emails from my pre order confirmation to updating my password etc minutes after the guy told me it was all sorted…..then again I opted to have my Telstra pre paid number ported over to Woolies.

      • This was exactly my situation, nothing on their system and they told me to place the order again and again but failed all times after the first successful try.

        But somehow the automated email came through the next day. It's weird. I didn't do anything and they didn't do anything.

        Are you currently with woolworths prepaid? I think that's what caused the problem for me, since the process of porting the number is a little bit different.

  • God, I hope this is not why I haven't been able to see my cashback pending on Cashrewards.

    I placed my order and got an email saying that I will "receive an email as soon as your order has been dispatched" but nothing else regarding the preorder.

    I've already made a claim on Cashrewards but if my preorder never actually went through with Woolworths, I'm pretty sure they won't be able to honour it.

    • fingers crossed for ya buddy……did you port your number over to Woolies? If so you should've received an email to update your password and another after that confirming your password change.

      • Yeah, I did opt to get my number ported and did receive those emails regarding my password. I'm still wary because Cashrewards hasn't shown that my cashback is pending and I haven't gotten updates so I've contacted Woolworths just to check.

        • what did woolies tell ya? I'm on the same boat. hopeful it went through, though they have assured me that the process has been successful. still worried a bit

        • Nothing yet. I inquired via their contact form last night which says they aim to respond within 48 hours. Their phone lines are down because it's a public holiday.

          @Seeeq: I received a response from Woolworths stating that my order was indeed confirmed and that I should be able to use my first monthly bill to claim the Cashrewards promotion. This would mean that I'd have to wait until I actually received the S8 but I swear I read that people already had the $101 cashback pending. Hopefully Cashrewards will come through with an explanation soon.

  • Wow, I thought I was the only one! I signed up last week online with the new promo and when I went enter my card details it told me to contact support team, which I did spoke to a lady who took my card details and said "I've forwarded it to management to get the phone sent out to you". AWESOME!? so I jumped online bought a case, tempered glass even got the new Gear VR! So days went by as all my friends were receiving their new S8 and S8+ the following days I wondered where is mine? I called up Woolies mobile on Monday told me to wait my order is being processed and I should receive a welcome email immediately, REALLY? Nope yet to even see any sort of confirmation from Woolies Mobile at all. Tuesday morning I'm like fedup I'm like "Where is my confirmation email?" So I contacted them via online Chat this time. The person whom I spoke to told me the order didn't even get pushed through! WHAT!? This whole time I'm been scratching my head pondering when it would arrive? Anyways he pushed it through and I immediately received an email from Woolies. But guess what? They've ran out of stock it's now on BACK ORDER for another 2-3 weeks! That's just GREAT! All I was compensated for was an egift card valued at $25…. err hmm yeah thanks :/ also since the transaction was completely via phone… no cashrewards :/
