Had been using desktop to do web development. Want to give myself some mobility so thinking to get a new laptop.
I dont do graphics, mainly html5, javascript, css, etc., client side coding only.

Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition. Runs Ubuntu out of the box. It's Linus Torvard's favourite coding laptop
Though of course there is the vanilla Windows version if you are a Windows user.
Budget?
For web dev you could be fine with anything recent.
But there's a good chance React Native is about to get serious (it's becoming a lot more stable and reliable) and you might want to play around with javascript-driven app development. Apple makes it really hard to test apps without a Mac…so I've been testing Android only for now.

Yes, not looking to pay more than a thousand.
I was only keeping my eyes on ebay but that link to amazon from the US opens up my eyes too.
