Best Place to Get a HTC 10 (or a OnePlus 3T)

Hey guys,
Been currently tossing up between phones and I want to get the HTC 10 but it seems that most of the cheaper places are a bit dodgy and I was just wondering what people's experiences were from eGlobal. So I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

Second thing is, if I can't get my hands on a HTC 10, I was just wondering where would people recommend I get a OnePlus 3T?

Thanks in advance!

  • I wouldn't quite recommend the HTC 10.
The OnePlus 3/3T is a great handset though, however, due to the grey market middlemen… it's actually not that cheap for us Aussies as it is for the Yanks/Chinese.
And another problem with the gray market is that the phones may lack a certain GSM frequency (eg/ Band 28) to work on Australian carriers.
Not to mention waiting times, postage angst, and warranty/return issues.

Have you considered the Huawei P10 Plus, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, LG V20, Google Pixel XL, or the Samsung S7 Edge?
Not to mention the newcomers Samsung S8 and LG G6 ?

But I would stay away from eGlobal if I were you.
    They're REALLY dodgy.
I was gonna make some purchases from them, but after reading people's experience with them you should stay clear.

    Have you tried eBay?
A good seller, fair price, express shipping and PayPal coverage should relieve most of your worries.

I'm on a bit of a budget so the Huawei Mate 9 Pro is probably the only plausible option, I will definitely look into it though! What's your opinion on Vaya on Ebay? The one with the 20% off discount right now

  • I got my 3T from eGlobal. Had no issues with them, for whatever that's worth (have also purchased another item from them in the past, with minor billing issues to begin with).

    • If you don't mind me asking, what were the minor billing issues?

The payment was initially rejected (for a ~$270 item) because their customer protection team said the order was not eligible for seller protection - turns out this is because the address I provided to eGlobal didn't precisely match the address returned by Paypal (I'd made a minor adjustment to have the suburb listed in address line 2, with the city set in the suburb field for whatever reason).

I reordered the item while web chatting with their customer service and everything went through fine.

  • The HTC doesn't have a headphone jack and relies on BT headphones. Hope all phones don't go this way.

That is the HTC U Ultra or HTC 10 Evo, the HTC 10 has a headphone jack.

        My bad.

        • no worries, I agree with you though, I hate bluetooth headphones and really hope the headphone jack sticks around

  • bumping because I'm in the same boat. OP did you find something?

    • hey sorry for the late reply, my friend's got me a HTC 10 for my birthday (kind of was going to go with that anyway when vaya had the 20% off deal)
i love the HTC 10, feel free to ask me anything about it!
