Micro Hifi with iPod Connectivity

Hi I am looking to get a micro hifi for my wife who wanted to play music off her ipod (could be mp3 or youtube songs) via speakers located in the kitchen and at the living room….kinda like background music. I know we can look at Sonos but the cost is a bit high. So was looking at the Panasonic PM250C $150 but the unit only have bluetooth connectivity and no Aux input. Also found the JVC UX-DN650A $169 at TGG that seem to have bluetooth and aux in but I could not find any review of the unit and also cannot even find the model on JVC website…so feel uneasy to buy this unit.

Any recommendation to a cheap and cheerful micro hifi? Thanks

  • Have you considered an Amazon Echo? Sound quality is great and perfect for the kitchen.

    • No I have not considered the Echo to be honest. I know it is like Google Home. I need the speaker to be at the kitchen as well as the living room though…so maybe the Echo is not suitable in this regard?
