Cheap Android device with NFC

Looking for a cheap Android device with built in NFC for a project I am working on. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, NFC and a mostly recent OS version are my only requirements. Anyone have any suggestions?

Near Field Communications. Can be used for a variety of things. Most common would be to pay for items via Android Pay

      • Thanks for the heads up.

So its something similar to blue tooth but on lower power?

In a way. If you use two NFC devices and tap them against each other, you can send photos and links. You can also get programmable NFC tags e.g. when you tap the NFC tag in your car with your phone, the Bluetooth on your phone will turn on. It's pretty nifty and all the high-end Android phones come with them as standard

Great - thanks for the info.

Sounds interesting enough to do some research on the topic.

    Appreciate the help

    • No problem. Android Pay is brilliant!

You can also use it to pair Sony audio devices too instead of having to go via Bluetooth.

  • I'd suggest this option.
