SYD-Toronto

Hi guys,

am planning my first trip to Canada.
What would be the best stopover for 2-4 days?
There are so many places yet to visit in the world, so I always try to make the most of my stay and not to visit twice.
Have heard horror stories about US customs and would like to avoid US cities.

At the moment I have a choice between Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul. Hopefully they are all doable in 2-4 days. But am open to any other suggestions or which of these options would You prefer and why?

Thanks!

  • Why do you want to stop ? The flight is only 14 hours. Also what have you heard about US customs. ? If you have the correct visa and nothing to hide then you'll be fine.

The issues only start when you lie about something

It is more like 20-22 hrs.
There are no direct flights from Australia, have to have a stopover anyway. Might as well enjoy the stopover for a couple of days if already there and get it off the bucket list

      • I am heading to Canada in a weeks time, I have a direct flight from Sydney to Vancouver, then a four-hour wait, then straight on to Toronto.

US Customs are fine so long as you have pre-arranged your transit visa if you haven't and you have to do it while you are going through US Customs is when there can be issues.

        Have a Safe Flight!!

    • It's 14 hours from SYD - west coast, then another 6-8 to east coast

Your stopover city depends on which airline you fly with, but I'd pick Tokyo if you have 4+ days or Hong Kong if you have fewer days

    Vancouver is also an option

    • Thanks, looks like HKG it is
