  • It would be hard to beat it in terms of price.

    The 2600k core i7 processor is still pretty powerful. It might be 5 years old already but to get a processor that beats the good ol' 2600k by even 25 percent, you would need to spend a whopping $475 dollars on a Core i7-6700K alone, although you could spend a less amount and get the new Ryzen 5 1600x ($345), which is also no small change.

    a brand new low-end GPU like a RX460 would set you back $129.

  • Lol. No.

  • It's not bad for the price. In terms of the gaming performance of the 570 - It's a bit long in the tooth, but could do at a stretch. It can be easily replaced in time though. I'd recommend installing an SSD for the OS + essential programs.

  • Its great value for the price
    Add an SSD and you're laughing
    the GPU is a little meh but at the end of the day if its for video editing / not gaming or 3d rendering, it should suffice
    I would jump on it

  • +1

    If you're concern about 5yrs refurb. pc (motherboard or graphic card usually goes 1st), and want a comparison with today's new parts, then consider below:

    Intel Pentium G4560 = $75
    2x4gb DDR4 rams = $80
    MSI B250m motherboard = $100
    Gigabyte RX480 8gb = $310 (or 4gb version @ $270)
    Antec ESK3450B-U3-P Casing w/ VP450w PSU = $75

    Total = $640 + $10 "oem" Win10 + Self assembly

    You'll need SSD for both/either builds, so factor that in separately.

    Overall for a $150 difference, gets you heaps more performance on both gaming & video production (given the software supports gpu acceleration)
    And you won't need to upgrade anything for a very long time.
