Big fan of TJ Maxx in Hawaii and always stop in to go through the racks and racks of clothing. Would always stock up on Polo shirts and socks (4 packs for $15 etc), cheap Guess and Ted baker sunnies ($10 etc). just wondering if anyone has had a chance to check out the oz stores yet and how they compare, what brands they stock etc?
Ross is another store they need to bring to Australia.
Trade Secret has been consistently disappointing.
all of those stores are, DFO, TC, all aussie outlet stores are disappointing.
I hope the TK Maxx concept works better than Trade Secret, which I think they own anyway.
The stock can be hit & miss as it's always rotating.
I'm hoping that they bring in more grey parallel imports from overseas to get a better selection of stuff.

Went to one on the weekend, want expecting much as I've been to the TJ Maxx in the US. Stock wise, pretty crappy but it was a lot better priced than I was expecting.
Ok went down and had a look at fairfield store whole bunch of crap but did manage to buy a couple of rhythm and acamademy jerseys for $25. Brands arent anywhere near as good as u.s no polo ralph, tommy hilfiger, north face etc but they did seem to have a lot of brands from surfstich (maybe they did a deal) so surfy/skate/street brands like barney cools, rvca, billabong, academy, deacon, dickies etc.
I only just became a fan of Trade Secret recently (their homewares, towels and skincare/beauty). I went in to the new TK Maxx today and I'm not loving it. All these 3 departments have been downgraded compared to when I went in 2 weeks ago and it was still Trade Secret. In all my visits, I never ventured into the clothes section because it's a bit daunting but I know I'm not loving it as much now because of the sections I do regularly buy from.
Surprisingly the one I went to seemed to be restocked in homewares, towels and skincare/beauty.
Previously they had nothing.
It's to me the same store but just restocked to fill in the advertisement hype.

been to one of their Trade Secret stores after being a regular shopper at TKMaxx UK… the selection at Trade Secret wasn't great, and not much variety. The layout of the shop is very much like the UK, but the selection and quality of items just wasn't the same. I'm hoping that the TKMaxx Australian stores are similar to the UK and have just as good of a selection of stuff!
