Buying options for Adobe CC subscription or Adobe CS6 license key

Hey guys

I use Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign for my personal use and was using an older version until recently when I started getting compatibility issues with newer files. Thats when I had to upgrade to a 30 day trial of CC subscription which expires soon. I can also manage with a CS6 license key and do not necessarily need the latest version of all apps.

Available options for me are

  • Option 1 Get the student CC subscription for $16.99/mo - I am currently a student eligible to get this directly through Adobe store but this pricing is only for the first year after which it costs $58/mo. Buying subscription for individual apps that I use works out dearer.

  • Option 2 Get license key from eBay/Amazon for CS6 (this was the last perpetual licensed version which is no longer for sale by Adobe). There are a couple of cheap options on eBay for around AUD $15 for the full licensed product - but not sure if these overseas sellers can be trusted.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

  • In regard to the option 1: I recalled you can buy the student version product key card off Officeworks so you can still get the same price for the 2nd year…
Correct me if I am wrong…

I wouldn't trust software product off eBay to be honest.

    • Wasn't aware of Officeworks option - will look into it. Thanks

      • Hey, just wondering what you ended up doing? I'm in the same situation now

  • I personally would look into a card key version as well though I haven't tried it. I recently stumbled upon this https://www.consumeraffairs.com/computers/adobe.html I was bored and read through a lot of them. A lot of stuff in terms of people buying a year long subscription (even a paid month to month type) and then being stuck into a second year long subscription because it auto renews in a yearly sort of thing (not 1 year minimum and you pay the monthly thing like say an ISP does). Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

  • Anyone know how to restart the 30 day trial?

    • +1

If you're a nsw student you should be able to get a 1 year subscription for free.
